Goldsmiths University of London

Student Rep

Throughout my tenure at Goldsmiths University, I had the privilege of assisting fellow students with their projects in my first and second years of study. This role allowed me to actively contribute to their academic achievements and create a collaborative learning environment.

In addition to my academic contributions, I actively engaged with the university community by becoming a part of the DJ Society at Goldsmiths SU London. Within this vibrant club, I assumed a multifaceted role that made a substantial impact on the club's overall progress and expansion.

Within the DJ Society:

I continuously honed and enhanced my DJ skills by participating in workshops and mentorship programs facilitated by experienced DJs within the club. This dedication to personal growth allowed me to perform at club events and gigs, demonstrating my abilities and captivating audiences effectively.

Beyond my personal development, I took proactive steps to bolster club membership, boost event attendance, and uphold a culture of professionalism and respect within the club. These endeavors not only bolstered the club's reputation but also elevated the experience for both club members and audiences.

As an engaged member of the DJ Society, I actively contributed to regular meetings and events. These contributions encompassed collaborative efforts with fellow members to organize and promote club events, as well as orchestrating live streams to expand our reach and showcase our talents to a wider audience. Notably, in 2019, our live streams garnered the attention of renowned entities such as "Boiler Room" and record labels, affording students valuable opportunities to collaborate with leading artists in the field.

Concurrently, I assumed the role of a Student Representative for the Computing program at Goldsmiths University London. In this capacity:

I served as a liaison between students and university administration, articulating their perspectives and interests to faculty and staff. My primary goal was to collaboratively enhance the student experience and academic standards within the computing program.

I systematically gathered feedback and recommendations from students and communicated this valuable input to the relevant faculty and staff members. This role was pivotal in addressing concerns and facilitating effective communication between students and the university.

I actively participated in the organization and attendance of meetings and events related to the computing department, collaborating with other student representatives and organizations to promote student engagement and involvement, thereby enriching the overall student experience at the university.

These cumulative experiences underscore my dedication to personal and communal development. They afforded me the opportunity to cultivate leadership and communication proficiencies while actively contributing to the growth and success of both the DJ Society and the Computing program at Goldsmiths University London.
